It’s Pink Friday time already. Ya’ll, the months have been flying by … I honestly can’t believe it’s November already. Is it just me or do things start to pick up when the weather changes? That said, I want to make sure you have all the deets about our annual Pink Friday Sale at Effie’s Paper. This year our Pink Friday Sale is November 17th through midnight on November 20th.
What Is Pink Friday?
Some may think that Pink Friday is Nikki Minaj’s debut studio album that was released in November 2010. And it is. The internet seems to credit the ladies at the Boutique Hub (the world’s largest boutique industry community connecting small businesses, e-commerce retailers, wholesalers, and industry services and experts) for coming up with Pink Friday in 2020. But, if you’ve been riding with Effie’s Paper for a minute, you know that we’ve been celebrating Pink Friday the week before Thanksgiving since at least 2018.
My reason for starting Pink Friday was to give our audience an opportunity to shop small and get a chunk of their holiday shopping done before heading into the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. I believe that your holiday weekend should be spent with family and friends, not shopping and stressing out about getting the best deals.The Boutique Hub, says they formed the event out of “an abundance of need to support small business retailers during an unprecedented time.” Suffice it to say, we’re all on the same page.
In essence, Pink Friday is a small business spin on the traditional Black Friday shopping experience, reminding people to #ShopSmallFirst.
How Does The Pink Friday Sale Work?
It’s super simple. Pink Friday is the Effie’s Paper version of Black Friday. Important things to know:
- This year our Pink Friday Sale is Friday, November 17th – midnight, Monday, November 20th.
- If you subscribe to our newsletter, you will receive an email the morning of the 17th to let you know the sale has begun and what the discount is. Not on the list? No worries, just click here to be added.
- VIPs get early access to the sale. Becoming a VIP is easy, click here to get into the sale early.
- You don’t have to worry about a promo code, the discount will be applied at checkout.
What Kinds Of Deals Will There Be?
I can’t tell you that! It would spoil all the fun. But, simply put, Pink Friday is our biggest sale of the year. And, this year the discounts are going to be bigger than they ever have been. So when it came time to name our yearly sale, the name came quite easily. It’s our own rendition of Black Friday and we love pink. Hence the name was born!
