I fell in love with the Scorpios Spritz while visiting the Greek isle Myoknos last Fall. Let’s be honest, there are just some cocktails that have my name written all over them and the Scorpios Spritz is one of them. Fifteen years ago when visiting Capri for the first time, I was introduced to the Apèrol Spritz and I’ve been smitten ever since. That is until I was in Greece last September and had a Scorpios Spritz at Scorpios, a private beach club in Mykonos.

If you are an Apèrol Spritz gal, I can pretty much guarantee you’re gonna love the Scorpios Spritz. It’s made with Martini and Rossi Fiero, a new member of the M&R vermouth family. They describe it as a contemporary vermouth that has a blend of citrus and bittersweet orange with crisp white wines. I describe it as delicious!

The Scorpios Spritz recipe is very similar to its sister, the Apèrol Spritz with a few tweaks. Instead of an orange garnish, you use fresh rosemary and instead of tonic water, you use grapefruit soda.
Ingredients
This cocktail requires four basic ingredients, plus ice.
01 | Martini & Rossi Fiero
Only Martini & Rossi Fiero will do – it’s the main ingredient of the cocktail and gives the Scorpios Spritz it’s bright red hue. Martini & Rossi Fiero is an aperitif that you can find in the liqueurs or amaros section of most liquor stores.
02 | Prosecco
Prosecco is an inexpensive Italian sparkling wine similar to Spanish Cava or French Champagne. You can use any of the three to make your Scorpios Spritz, but I recommend choosing one on the dry side so that the cocktail doesn’t turn out too syrupy or sweet. Good choices range between $12 to $18 dollars.

03 | Grapefruit Soda
At first blush, it seems like finding grapefruit soda might be tough but there are a number of brands to choose from – Fresca, Fever Tree and Squirt all fit the bill. Grapefruit soda adds some fizzy dilution.
04 | Fresh Rosemary
You can skip this if you don’t have it, but a sprig of fresh rosemary is the garnish of choice for a Scorpios Spritz. It adds a nice aroma to the cocktail as you drink it.

How To Make A Scorpios Spritz
It’s incredibly easy to make this cocktail. No cocktail shaker or fancy equipment is required! You simply fill a wine glass with ice, add Martini & Rossi Fiero, Prosecco, grapefruit soda and a sprig of rosemary.

To make a Scorpios Spritz, follow these six steps:
- Use a globe shaped glass, similar to something you’d drink brandy or wine out of.
- Fill the glass 2/3 of the way with ice.
- Add 3 parts prosecco
- Add 2 parts Martini & Rossi Fiero
- Add a dash of grapefruit soda (or one part if that makes it easier!)
- Garnish with a fresh sprig of rosemary and enjoy!

If you can get yourself to Scorpios in Mykonos, by all means do! But, you don’t have to go to Scorpios to experience their famous spritz. Either way, good memories will be made and mischief will need to be managed!
Stylishly yours,
