I married adventure and Sea Star Beachwear makes it easy for me to be both stylish and adventurous when on vacation. Let me take a minute to explain. I love to travel and so does my husband. My favorite kind of vacation? One that includes service on the beach! My husband likes to lounge on the beach too, but after 3 hours he’s ready to head into town, hike a mountain or rent scooters and explore the countryside. I’m usually game, but like I said, I married adventure … so if we’re renting scooters (a scooter, I am content to ride shotgun with him) to explore the countryside I need to be prepared to hike if we encounter a trail along the way.

I need to be prepared to swim or snorkel if we stumble upon water. AND after all of that, I need to be cute if we stumble upon someplace to eat.

How It Started
We were getting ready to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary with a trip to St. Barth’s. I was in the West Village doing some last minute shopping and I stumbled into a cute little shop that had great beach accessories – you know beach bags, sarongs and hats. And then I saw them, Sea Star Beachwear water shoes; the most elegant water shoe I’d ever seen. AND, they were metallic gold. My heart began to go pitter patter and I knew I had to have them. The water shoes were made out of neoprene and were so stylish I couldn’t stop smiling. At $100 a pop, the price was a little high for water shoes, but I knew I would look cute in these water shoes! Unlike the ugly ones you can buy for $15 a pair at CVS. So, I bought them and I haven’t looked back. I’m such a fan of the brand, that I reached out to Sea Star Beachwear a few years ago about working with them and to my delight they took me up on my offer!

Water Shoes Don’t Have To Be Ugly
If you spend any time at the beach doing water sports, you know how ugly water shoes can be. As ugly as they can be, they’re a necessity if you don’t want your feet to get cut on rocks or slip on wet boats or piers.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I post about my love of my Sea Star Beachwear water shoes regularly. I do because I truly love them and I believe in sharing good products when I find them! I hate to see stylish women on vacation in those ugly black water shoes. Inevitably, they make their way over to me and compliment mine and then of course I wax poetic about my Sea Star Beachwear water shoes, because how can one not???
How Many Pairs Do You Need?
Honestly, you really only need one pair of Sea Star Beachwear water shoes But, if you spend a lot of time in and around water, you may end up owing a few pairs. It’s safe to say that I now own at least four pairs and my husband has two pairs. Yes, he’s jumped on the bandwagon too!

I discovered Sea Star Beachwear about 8 years ago, and now I don’t vacation without them! I’m partial to their beachcomber espadrilles shoes. They fit your foot like a glove, so if you’re ordering online you may want to order two pairs to figure out the right size. They are the perfect beach shoe and are built for the sand. Plus, they hold up well over time; I have styles from years ago that I still wear regularly.
Water Shoes, But Make Them Cute!
Like I said above, l married adventure. I love to travel, but my husband’s love of travel knows no bounds. I never know what we might stumble upon while we’re away, so I try to pack for just about any occasion. For example, a day can easily consist of a Vespa ride, beach time, snorkeling, lunch at a cute cafe and shopping. Over the course of time, I’ve learned that I need to be prepared for whatever the day may bring. A big totebag or cute backpack makes it easy to insure I have a change of clothes, a towel and snacks just in case.

As you can see, I have worn and styled these shoes in a number of ways on numerous ocassions! Recently, Sea Star Beachwear gifted me a pair of their new LOVE espadrilles and yup, you guessed it – I love them!

At the end of the day, on vacation, my goal is to be comfortable yet stylish while being prepared for whatever adventure the day might bring. Have you tried out Sea Star Beachwear water shoes yet? I’m warning you right now, that me once you buy a pair, you’ll want them all.
Stylishly Yours,
Kalyn
