It’s No Secret
In case you didn’t know… I’m a bit of a podcast junkie! I like all genres – Self-Help, Entrepreneurship, Anything NPR related, Murder Mysteries and the list goes on. I was delighted and surprised when Alisa Gumbs from Black Enterprise’s Sister’s Inc. Podcast reached out to me earlier this year about doing an interview. Especially when she mentioned discussing pop-ups!
Ya’ll, she’s interviewed some heavy hitters! Let me be honest, I was a little bit intimidated, but of course I said YES! It was one of those opportunities that I was excited for. In addition to audio, our conversation was also video taped … I know, it’s been 2+ years and I still haven’t perfected my Zoom set up … but, once I got it together, our conversation just flowed!
We talked about the art of the pop-up shop. If you’re a business owner on the fence about including popups as part of your business model, I encourage you to watch/listen to this interview this week. If you’re curious about how these opportunities have come about and what they’ve led to for Effie’s Paper, watch and listen to this interview this week. Simply click here to listen.

We Pop-Up A Lot!
This year alone we have had the opportunity to pop up in Bryant Park for their Spring Maker’s Market, in Detroit, Michigan, and Oakland, California as part of The Buy From A Black Woman Inspire Tour Presented By H&M, and more! We’ve been busy, so it’s safe to say we have experience planning and running a pop-up at this point.

Did you know that I have an Amazon Storefront? I’m mentioning this because I have a group of pop-up-related products that I’ve used and loved. So you to easily find and shop the products you see in my feed. I’ve even shared some tips and tricks over on Instagram about how to plan out a booth. We don’t gatekeep around here. So let me know if you have any pop-up-related questions and I’ll do my best to answer them!
Stylishly Yours,
Kalyn
